You don't always need a long vacation to escape your routine. A well-planned weekend trip can be enough to relax, explore a new destination, and return refreshed.
Start by choosing a destination that is easy to reach. Ideally, your journey should not take up most of your weekend. Hill stations, beaches, heritage towns, and nature retreats are excellent choices.
Create a simple itinerary with two or three main activities each day. Avoid packing too many attractions into a short trip because you'll spend more time traveling than enjoying the destination.
Book your accommodation in advance, especially during weekends and holidays. Also prepare a small travel bag with comfortable clothes, essential medicines, chargers, identification documents, and toiletries.
Most importantly, leave some free time in your schedule. Sometimes the best travel memories come from simply exploring a local market, enjoying a meal, or watching the sunset.
